a1k0n Posted September 25, 2025 Share Posted September 25, 2025 Most users on 6800 XT cards can disable Whatevergreen.kext to install Tahoa. This wasn't work on spoofing cards because they needed adgpmod=pikera and some fixes from Whatevergreen.kext for Framebuffers. Without Whatevergreen.kext you never reach Install Screen. Display goes sleeping and never wakesup. With Whatevergreen.kext Installer crashes and reboot. The only way (in my opinion) to install Tahoa on this cards is using another config.plist with NootRX.kext. Enable NootRX.kext, disable your SSDT-BG0.aml, disable Whatevergreen.kext, and remove boot-arg adgpmod=pikera. After Installation and on Tahoa setup Screen you can shutdown your hackint0sh with Command +Q. Change your config.plist back to the other one with enabled Whatevergreen.kext, boot-arg adgpmod=pikera and SSDT-BG0.aml and finish Setup. (disable NootRX.kext) Testing hours of hours many combinations with device properties and other things. Nothing work. Only NootRX.kext. Derty Posted September 25, 2025 Share Posted September 25, 2025 I've been using NootRX.kext since beta three without any problems. I had some issues with 3D CAD and once with iMovie... For now, it's just that, and everything works fine: Netflix, HBO, Adobe... Only sometimes you see a little lag when browsing some websites... SSDT-BG0 is for pci-bridge and everyone has to create their own. I think you're confusing something right now. In my opinion NootRX.kext can't play DRM Stuff. Same {censored}. Installer crashs and reboot. Boot to installed macOS26 works. @Max.1974 You don't need and set your device-id in SSDT-BRG0.aml like me. So your don't need to deactivate it for NootRX.kext. Nice to see it works with DRM.
