ASPP-Override.kext and Why You'd Disable This (X86PlatformPlugin Doesnt Load)

When you want to use CPUFriend to Enable XNU PM , disable ASPP-Override.kext. 

It will enable X86PlatformPlugin and you will get GPU Power Management Crucial for Sequoia and Tahoe.

Or basically Big Sur +. if you dont then as you use macOS it may Lock Up and then Respin the Apple Logo on you

and any work you were doing was just lost.

 

for example things i saw opencore has installed that we can just get rid of on a mac:

aspp-override , ecm-override , CatalinaIntelI210Ethernet , AirportBrcmFixup , CPUFriend , CPUFriendDataProvider , SimpleMSR

and acpi
