sphinx84
I buyed RX460 for discrete GPU and I also have iGPU - 630 kaby lake. I want to work acceleration IQSV. I was tryed 03001259 and 02001859 (0 connector) but there is no result. Hackintool say "vda cheker failed" and geekbench say "no intel gpu". I also write two keys - rps control and metal enable (and of course ig-platform-id). I don't know what else to try - please advise. i3-7100 DDR-4 8GB ASUS H110M-R ASUS RX460 2Gb Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361534-intel-630-help/ Share on other sites
fspkwonx86
do you know how to use WhateverGreen.kext ???????????????????????????????????? it should fix that its not detecting the GPU properly and you can try it clearing out all your graphics keys... UHD 630 is supposed to be supported but if your on the latest macOS it may take whatevergreen to work initially... seeing as how if you just tell it that its which card it is i dont think thats doing much YOUR thinking like oh lets call it a different card entirely thats what i think that point is... and then after looking i can see your thinking along the right lines your trying to use it headless for graphics computing am i right?... its similar to my situation i can try spoofing the card but it gets detected right back as what it was without any specifying I could also be wrong here but quicksyncvideo maybe requires the framebuffer to be loaded...... unless im wrong and that would be totally awesome if you can get it to work i mean the ONLY thing that i can think of is whatevergreen is overriding the keys were trying and is it needed for your amd? well when all else fails i mean... theres the DSDT Method... i can..../would try for example using opencore to plug in a table that defines the external gpu case and then using dgtp method to specify your device-ids for both cards... and then adding graphics properties in the bootloader without whatevergreen entirely Edited September 20, 2025 by fspkwonx86 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361534-intel-630-help/#findComment-2840981 Share on other sites
