If you have Windows XP you can see the disk in Disk Management, or with Diskpart, with Windows 9x you can use FDISK, and there are several utilities like Partition Magic.

I try to use partition magic... it says: type: fat32, logic partition...

(I've noticed that your sign is ciao, alejandra... if you are Italian I can speak italian, so we can understand each other much better... :))

Well I'm not italian, I'm mexican, but I like much Ciao than Bye or Adios.

You need to change the type of your partition to AF, partition Magic can't do it, but with a Linux Live CD or with Diskpart on Windows XP.

ok, i try and then I'll return here... thanks, ciao! :D

:wacko::huh::lol:

:blink: woops, that wont happen again...

For some reson, I had left Firefox open with this site loaded, got back and well...yeah, typed away. :rolleyes:

lol, anyways...

make sure you don't change the windows partition...that would be very bad, just want to state that.

Also, if you did the install that deadmoo made (which it sounds like you did) I think the dd command does it.

AND, it would be nice to know which bootloader you are using and what the boot file says.

Another problem some have found is there are a few instructions that don't work as they give the wrong DD command.

It could be many things, but in order to know (instead of having you try all sorts of stuff) we need to know more about your settings. -_-

ok, I try to explain what i've done...i follow the guide on this site...

first of all i've used diskpart to create the partition. then I've copied the "tiger-x86-flat.img" on that harddisk with dd...and then I've booted it. i've retried and this time appears:"hfs+ partition error"... but I haven't used any bootloader yet. in some guides doesn't talk ab out bootloader... :(
