HP 15-db1061AU (AMD R5 3500U) - Stuck After macOS Installer Loads

Hi everyone,

I’m working on getting macOS running on my HP 15-db1061AU laptop, which has the following specs:

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3500U

• GPU: Integrated Vega 8

• RAM: 8GB

• Storage: 512GB SSD

• BIOS Mode: UEFI

• macOS Version: [Insert which version you’re trying to install, e.g., Ventura or Monterey]

I’ve followed the AMD OpenCore guide and created a USB installer. The laptop successfully boots into the installer, and I reach the Apple logo and loading bar. However, it hangs just before or right after the macOS installer window appears — no mouse cursor, no language selection, and no progress.

What I’ve Tried:

• Used OpenCore EFI based on Dortania’s AMD guide

• Tweaked BIOS settings as recommended (images attached)

• USB boots fine on another system

• Tried verbose mode (-v) – it stops after some IOConsoleUsers or similar logs

• My EFI folder (please review for errors or missing settings)

Could someone experienced with AMD Hackintosh setups take a look at my EFI and BIOS config? I feel like I’m missing something simple but crucial. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!
