I have an Inspiron N5040 which I threw High Sierra onto, but the keyboard won't work at all in the OpenCore bootpicker. I have the PS2KeyboardDxe driver or whatever, but still, no. My mouse works fine, it's just the keyboard that doesn't work. If I add OpenUsbKbDxe, a usb keyboard works fine, but I cannot get the internal keyboard to work at all.

@Lost-Entrepreneur439 I use PS2KeyboardDxe driver on my old laptop here.  Feel free to look at my OC config.plists here and here for ideas.

Always post your OC EFI when asking EFI-related questions if you require more helpful examination and responses.

Try to see if there is anything in the Input section in config.plist? Sometimes missing or misconfigured items can cause the same error. Also, what version of OpenCore are you using?

@Pores1977 I don't think that's it.  If @Lost-Entrepreneur439 had looked at my posted EFI in this thread as I suggested, he/she probably would have found the problem.  I had a problem with PS2 keyboard / OC boot picker as I mentioned and solved in this thread.  Since my documented laptop is also a Dell 1st Gen Arrandale laptop (like the Inspiron N5040), I think there's a good chance it's the same problem.

No way to tell without the OP posting their EFI (at least their config.plist).

Is there any news on the problem?
