Samawa
i have a 805 pentium d and a gigabyte 945 chipset mobo I am installing osx using the latest jas patched dvd (10.4.8) problem is it wont boot into the installation phase. iam using a clean partition layout, one hard disk, two partitions one of them is 70gb and has windows on it (primary) the other is 7gb of unlocated data, as suggested by many tutorials. anyway i get a kernel panic at the end heres what it says: panic(cpu 0 caller 0x001A2EA9): kernel_trap(0x181364) with 64-bit state Debugger called: <panic> *insert more memory location* not sure if its useful, if it is then i'll post it. at the end it says Backtrace terminated-invalid frame pointer 0xbfff548 note: i tried every boot trick i could find .. loading the kernel manually, using -v -x, using -v cpu=1 unless there are more i need to try? of course there is the possibility of the iso being corrupted .. what do you guys think? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36090-installation-not-starting-up/ Share on other sites
