About this Mac - on the 10.4.8 install DVD, there was a 10.4.4 Loginwindow option. You need that.

7600 - need Natit or Titan. Follow the Video link in my signature

8100 - follow the Ethernet link in my signature

Sound - what is your brand and model? Like Realtek 882 or Soundmax 1986, etc

it's a realtek on board sound. erm. ALC655. i'm using msi neo2 PLS. i need alot of help. lol. wad are the options that are needed to get osx working? hmmm also i'm having problem with my external hd and my ipod. i installed 10.4.4, it can be mounted and detected but in 10.4.8 cannot. so can i copy the kext files from 10.4.4?

what is the "rebuild" command after replacing the kext?

  • 1 month later...

I have 10.4.8 (8.8.1) running on an ASUS M2V-TVM motherboard with an AMD 3800+ 64 CPU.

The video is onboard with a Via chip providing Vi Chrome9 IGP functionality.

Are there any drivers for this chipset?

It is currently running well with no driver but only at 1024x768 resolution.

Any help out there for this orphan?

Thanks
