149113
Before I spend countless hours trying to figure this out... can Sonoma or Sequoia be run under Proxmox with full GPU passthrough for an AMD 6950xt? Installing the OS was easy and I've read just about every blog on how to enable GPU pass through in general but no one seems to indicate one way or the other if it can be done with on MacOS with a newer AMD card 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360814-proxmox-question/ Share on other sites
maarybethh
You need to: -Enable IOMMU in BIOS/UEFI on your server to support passthrough. -Configure vfio for your GPU in Proxmox by adding it to the virtual machine (VM) configuration. -Install macOS on the VM by following the instructions for installing MacOS via QEMU/KVM in Proxmox. -Use patches for MacOS, as it does not support AMD GPU natively. You will have to use AMD drivers in macOS. -Check kernel and parameter compatibility for stable GPU passthrough.
