I dare say there is nothing wrong with experimenting but what makes you think if the performance is that dire in High Sierra, it would be any better in Sequoia??!! Then again you're like many of us here who likes to tinker and try to fix the impossible. If you endeavor to carry it out, good luck. PS. I tried to follow your lead and dig out my S/L install disk to attempt the install on a spare SSD Drive. Thanks to you I lost a few more strands of already thinning hair on that project with a fat failure. Please I am begging you, no suggestions on how I could do it, my sanity and well being are already at a low. In future I will admire your project suggestions from afar with Fan Boy admiration. 2 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360811-is-the-latest-always-the-greatest/#findComment-2831037 Share on other sites

I guess that's the main thing and it justifies everything. In one of your previous messages you indicated that the upgrade cost you $100au. For this money, you can buy used laptop with a 10th generation processor. Fully compatible in all hardware (except Wi-Fi) and suitable for the most modern versions of MacOS. For example, that's what I did (Acer A315-56-382G / i3-1005G1 / Intel UHD620) 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360811-is-the-latest-always-the-greatest/#findComment-2831038 Share on other sites
SevenTheAppleKitty
I don't think running a modern OS version on a 15 year old desktop would yield good results, regardless if it's OS X or not. : P Edited March 21 by SevenTheAppleKitty Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360811-is-the-latest-always-the-greatest/#findComment-2831042 Share on other sites
Max.1974
@STLVNUB Hi my friend! I would recommend a 7th generation Lenovo, Kaby Lake, HD 620, we did a real miracle with the right settings, it runs in 4k, a very robust IBM keyboard and hardware, and with a vast number of Hackintoshers users around the world GitHub, with a lot of HotPacth SSDT and I can assure you, it is better than my MBA 2020, being a Lenovo Thinkpad laptop model E470 intel i5-7200-U, wonderful. The RehabMan kexts still work perfectly, and the patches are even better. If you want check-out my video on YT: Spoiler In the Eastern hackintosh scene, they are known as Black Apple. 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360811-is-the-latest-always-the-greatest/#findComment-2831045 Share on other sites
