Mike Ng
Hello everyone, I am trying to install macOS Sequoia on my Dell Precision 5560. I have carefully followed Dortania OpenCore Guides and have SSDTs built using SSDTTime. My hardware: CPU: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11850H @ 2.50GHz, 2496 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s) iGPU: Intel UHD Graphics Motherboard: Intel LPC Controller (WM590) - 4389 RAM: 32GB Bootloader: OpenCore 1.0.3-DEBUG I got stuck on [EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START] and have tried every suggestion in Dortania's troubleshooting > Kernel Issues without success. I herewith attach my EFI folder with config.plist and debug log in a zip file. I am hoping someone could give me an idea on how to resolve this issue. Thank you. strangeron
In laptops, the internal graphics of processors above the 10th generation are not compatible with Mac. Even if it can be installed somehow, there will be no graphical acceleration. If you still want to try the installation, activate VirtualSMC.kext, add Cpuid1Data and Cpuid1Mask and try SecureBootModel-Disable. Yes it seems panic was related to not having Cpuid1Data/Cpuid1Mask. I tried to build EFI again using OpCore-Simplify (https://github.com/lzhoang2801/OpCore-Simplify) and found that my Dell 5560 has 2 unsupported hardware: iGPU: Intel UHD Graphics (Intel Tiger Lake-H - GT1 Integrated Graphics) Storage Controllers: PC611 NVMe SK hynix 512GB (causes panic) So I added Cpuid1Data/Cpuid1Mask, disable internal SSD and was able to install Sequoia on my external SSD. But yes without graphic acceleration. Wifi and audio is working. On 2/20/2025 at 6:01 PM, deeveedee said: This thread might be of interest. Yes this is really interesting. lspci -nn | grep -Ei 'VGA|DISPLAY' 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation TigerLake-H GT1 [UHD Graphics] [8086:9a60] (rev 01) PCI IDs Name Architecture Codename Kernel EU number 9A60, 9A70 Intel® UHD Graphics Xe Tiger Lake 5.10 32 Have found that my iGPU is 9A60. I've tried putting AAPL,ig-platform-id: 0000609A and device-id: 609A0000 but it doesn't work. I will try as the thread you mentioned and see. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360679-dell-precision-5560-stuck-on-eblogexitbsstart-please-help/#findComment-2830560 Share on other sites
