Hi everyone!

I saw a thread here on InsanelyMac about testing the 11th gen iGPUs and tying to make them work on macOS:

The problem is that no matter what I try (I followed the Dortania guide and tried every possible fix as well as some possible fixes from r/Hackintosh) It just won't boot.

If anyone would like to help me al least make this thing boot and install, I would be really grateful to them,

I'll attach my EFI as well as my latest boot log and the specs.

SPECS:

  • Intel Core i7 11370H
  • dGPU (to be disabled) - NVIDIA RTX 3060
  • 16Gb of RAM (DDR4 3200MT/s)
  • 512Gb of NVMe Storage (SAMSUNG PM981a / SAMSUNG MZVLB512HBJQ)
  • Elan trackpad and fingerprint reader

EDIT 1: Added thread link and also:

The boot args are from the 10th page of the thread, but maybe I should change them;

I have changed some quirks values in the config.plist:

  • AppleXcpmCfgLock
  • SecureBootModel
  • EnableWriteUnprotector
  • SetupVirtualMap
  • RebuildAppleMemoryMap
  • DevirtualiseMMIO

Yes, I tried (on both Ventura and Sonoma) to disable it - didn't work. After that i re-enabled it, but still... It won't boot

Here's my latest config.plist and boot log:

opencore-2024-08-12-110747.txt Config.plist

Dealing with the 'LOG:EXIBITS:START' issue can be frustrating, especially when trying to get 11th gen iGPUs to work on macOS. It's essential to check compatibility with macOS versions and ensure that any required patches or kexts are correctly applied. Some users have found success by tweaking BIOS settings or using specific boot flags. Sharing your specific setup and steps taken might help others offer more targeted advice.

Sorry I didn't know that 🤦‍♂️Thank you for helping me!

What values should I use for the 11370H? Maybe there are some examples in the Dortania guide?

(p.s. I'd like to add my previous hackintoshes too below my comments just like you did, how can I do that?)

Guys I'm literally crying right now... It booted!

There are some problems tho..

  • The trackpad doesn't work (But the keyboard does, yay!)
  • The wifi card doesn't work (Probably because I'm booting Ventura with the wrong Airportitlwm next, will try on Sonoma, by the way it's a Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650i)  -fixed on sonoma
  • The internal NVMe isn't showing up in disk utility (i used nvmefix but it still won't show up. The disk is part of the pm981a family, so it was kinda to-be-expected, but can i fix it? Some people on reddit managed to fix it following a chinese guide but i dont speak chinese and google translate from chinese to italian is very bad...)

You can install it on a different disk and then clone it. However, it will most likely not work stably.

Maybe I missed something in my brief review of this thread, so correct me if I'm wrong.  There is no macOS support for 11th gen Intel graphics and no macOS support for NVIDIA RTX 3060 (even with OCLP).  You should be able to boot macOS, but you won't have accelerated graphics.

EDIT: Now I see that I did miss something.  You're hoping to use this solution.  If it works, that would be awesome.  I'll be watching.  Good luck!

@strangeron I was hoping to use this guide to fix my problem: https://mrmad.com.tw/fix-hackintosh-liteon-plextor-skhynix-m2-ssd

Could you help me porting the needed informations to my config.plist? I'll attach my current config

Added boot image

I also found this on GitHub: https://github.com/tylernguyen/x1c6-hackintosh/issues/43

I'll try it and update the post with the results :D!

Edit: it's a Clover patch :,(

Doesn't matter Clover or Opencore. What is done is to install on a different disk and then prepare the Samsung PM981 disk and clone the system to this disk.

The job done on the page is to make the Samsung PM981 ready for cloning with two kexts and an SSDT showing the SSD path.

SSDT and kexts can also be used with OpenCore. However, I do not know if it will be a stable system.

Ooh, I see... I'm currently on vacation so not being able to install macOS is a bit of a bummer 😞

I'll be back home soon though, and I though about these possible solutions:

  • Clone my MacBook pro 13" mid-2012 to my predator disk (is it possible to do that without disassembling the predator?)
  • Search desperately for a way to install macOS directly onto the pm981a, as someone already managed to do that (please help)
  • Try to install macOS on my old SK hynix disk (the same disk that I'm using through usb on my MacBook) and then clone, since I don't really care about my mac's data and I can always re install and copy the data from my Home server

What do you think would be the best solution? I'd like to go for the 2nd, but if that's not possible... I guess I'll have to buy some screwdrivers for my predator (damnit Acer, couldn't you use normal screws?!)
