heni2000 Posted December 14, 2006 Share Posted December 14, 2006 Hi my problem is that after installing OS X Jas 10.4.8 native on my comp it won't get works. I tried several combinations to install: without patches I get the forbiden sign. With SemtheX kernel it says I have to restart the computer. With mifki's it just reboots my pc automaticly. spiff Posted August 2, 2007 Share Posted August 2, 2007 i have also installed macosx using the jas 10.4.8 release. my specs are: asus p5wd2-e premium motherboard pentium d 3.2ghz overclocked to 3.8ghz ati radeon x1900xtx 512mb 4 sata drives, all show up fine in the macos disk utilities. installation runs perfectly.. no errors.. when the time comes to reboot it freezes on the light blue screen JUST before then macosx loading bar would normally come up. i cant get any info on where its crashing because when it do -v it gets past that part fine, and then freezes just after loading the light blue screen. would this also be due to the 512mb gfx card, like the guy above? x986123 Posted August 2, 2007 Share Posted August 2, 2007 i wouldnt think so... because if you have 512mb, you just won't get graphics acceleration... i have 7900gtx 512mb and i checked compatibility list and mine works as it says =D im installing os x today!
