While I haven't worked on that specific model, I've had some experience with similar HP laptops. A good starting point is to find an EFI folder from a similar model or a previous macOS version that worked on the ProBook 640 G1. This can give you a solid base to tweak and adjust for Monterey. Remember, the key components in your EFI, like kexts and ACPI patches, need to be compatible with both your hardware and Monterey.
