Henties
I am trying to use an iPad 1 with 64 Gig memory as an iPod, I set it all up and it worked as intended until I decided to restore the iPad in order to get rid of some of the software that was accumulated over the years and which is not needed or of any use anymore. So far so good, I initiated iPad restore via an old PC that still had a working iTunes available, the restore routines were successful as far as I could tell and notice: preparing Ipad for restore downloading software verifying software installing software verifying installation installing firmware - twice verifying firmware etcetera. At the end of the process I get a message that the iPad could not be restored because of an unknown error (-1) after confirming I then get a message that the iPad needs to be restored with the process recurring ad-infinitum in other words I now find myself in a restore/recover loop which I do not know how to exit. I would appreciate any help or advice to get this old iPad working again, unfortunately there is no Apple Service Centre in the country I live in. Greetings Henties.
