I just finished a mostly successful Ventura 13.5.2 install on a ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 3, this is my first install that's in any way successful but it does have some things that don't exactly function

What currently isn't properly working is:

  • Backlight
  • Touchscreen Pen

I'm mostly trying to figure out backlight first and the rest after but if anyone can help with any of it I'd be grateful.
I can't get the backlight to work properly no matter what I've tried, I have no backlight control and its stuck at what looks like 60% brightness.

The touchscreen works perfectly and it's even nicer to use than the Touchpad. But I don't know how/can't get the Pen to work at all, the screen does not see it.

I threw this config together by following the Dortania Guide and also by looking at older configs that haven't been updated in a while for other help (it's how I got YogaSMC and iGPU to work).
If anyone can help with this I'd be more than grateful because I'm mostly out of ideas. I can provide more details if there's questions.
I have my EFI up on github for anyone to look at. Thanks in advance!

Also exact specs:

  • CPU: i5-8350U @ 1.7Ghz
  • GPU: Intel UHD 620
  • RAM: 8GB LPDDR3
  • Audio: ALC285 (branded as ALC3286)
  • Ethernet: Intel I219-LM (port through extension so untested)
  • WiFi/BT: Intel AC 8265 802.11ac + Bluetooth 4.2
  • BIOS: Newest Official (16. September 2023)
