jagginess
Hi guys, great forum! I used Jas's 10.4.7 for Mactel on my laptop Sony Vaio, PCG series if anyone cares.. The graphic loadup is fine as it is a supported ATI video chipset. I can also use touchpad and usb mouse. I did a complete install without issues except when I wait for the Login username box.. Though I can still move the mouse cursor and the macintosh title box has loaded, the username entry box never shows up and the blue progress bar is left animating at the beginning without ever moving..which tells me that all my basics are loaded.. o ya, also with the install cd, I was glad to see that my network card was able to pick up a dhcp ip address and I was able to ping my router. So I know my network card should be functional after installation. My question is, (I know I'm almost there!), how can I know what extension is causing this to stall? I'm not sure if my install did sse2 and sse3 patches, and my intel processor is built with these two features. Anyone can help me out? I'm almost there! Any feedback greatly appreciated. Thanks for any input.. james Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/35709-1047-full-install-login-gui-stalls/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
What packages did you choose in the Customize window during installation? If you chose packages, you would have chosen SSE3 for your computer. You also have to click the little arrow next to the patches to reveal all of them for choosing. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...ost&id=4499 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/35709-1047-full-install-login-gui-stalls/#findComment-254144 Share on other sites
