klizz
Hi! I've looked around the forum quite a bit, but decided that the easiest thing for me to do is just ask.. I want OSX so badly instead of windows for my everyday stuff, as it is so much nicer. So the question is: Is it possible to install osx with my current setup? AsRock 939 DUAL-SATA II AMD A64 3700+ 2 GB kingston PC3200 If you guys need any more info, just say what you need.. Additionally, I would like to know which of the versions and distros I need.. That thing is a jungle Thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/35653-is-my-setup-out-of-range/ Share on other sites
Proteo
It should work OK with a bit of tweaking. You didn't post your graphics card, which is one of the things that can make a difference in your OS X experience. Look for the JaS 10.4.8 reseed DVD in the common places (TPB, Demonoid). Rammjet
If the GF7900 has 512 MB VRAM, you will have trouble getting full acceleration. The JaS 10.4.8 Reseed DVD is for Intel. See the 10.4.8 link in my signature for how to install to AMD. klizz
It has 256 MB GDDR3.. Is that gonna give me trouble? I assume the link is where it says: "10.4.8 & new kernel"? Rammjet
256 has been working using Natit and Titan and the new kernel. Follow the Video link in my signature. And yes, the 10.4.8 & New Kernel is the link. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/35653-is-my-setup-out-of-range/#findComment-253692 Share on other sites
