juggleling
Hello, I have a 10.4.6 installer . I have one HD , with fourpartitions ... ( Acronis Disk Suite ) 1. Primary Active NTFS - Windows XP ( 80 GIG) 2. Logical NTFS - Data ( 60 GIG ) 3. Logical NTFS - Data ( 40 GIG) 4. Primary - FAT32 ( 20 GIG ) I specially made partition 4 to install OSX on it . I have deactivated Acronis Bootmanager , and set the partition 4 to active . After I run the first steps . I go to the diskutil to format/erase partition 4 so that it would mount . But when I try to erase it in mac Format it says 'unable to read partition table" , this after a couple of seconds . When I try to erase it for MS-DOS it formats correctly , but does not mount so I can't install it . Should I deinstall Acronis Bootmanager ? Do I have to much partitions ? Hoping to hear from you . Rammjet
OSX hates to be behind or on logical/extended partitions. It should be one of the first 3 primary partitions with all logical/extended partitions after it.
