Silent OSX
Hi! I managed to sort my video problems out by upgrading to OS X 10.4.8 (TubeGirls iso w/ PPF2) and everything is working great except for the onboard network card. I had full network support "out-of-the-box" in 10.4.5 - 10.4.7 but now the ethernet is grayed out in the network port settings panel. It is present in the System profiler but it wont work... I already tried the Neopheus installer for Realtek drivers but without success. Can I copy the kexts from 10.4.7? And if so what kext should I copy? I have a DFI Infinity RS482 with the ATi Radeon Xpress 200 RS482 north bridge and the SB450 southbridge. The LAN controller is a Realtek RTL8110SB Gigabit Ethernet. Thanks for any help, this is the last thing missing from a perfect setup /Silent EDIT: Damn I'm on a roll! I fixed this one myself as well! I inserted some kext from 10.4.5 into the IONetworkingFamily.kext in 10.4.8 and network is working again. Now the system is working great. Sometimes I need to unplug and replug some USB devices to make them work after a restart but I can live with that. But if anyone has a solution for this too, I'm all ears Take care /Silent Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/35582-realtek-rtl8110sb-and-os-x-1048-solved-too/ Share on other sites
