Erik Berg
Hello, I hope this is OK to post, as I couldn't figure out how to post to the AppleALC forum. I have an HP x360 2 in 1 laptop running opencore 8.9 and the microphone works in Monterey for Facetime and Photobooth but does not work for Siri. It has an ALC295 codec and when upgrading to Ventura the Facetime microphone no longer works. The photobooth app records audio and Siri continues not to work. Otherwise audio works as it should. I've tried all the layout ids (1, 3, 13, etc) and have settled on 14. Any hope to fix the mic for Ventura Facetime? Otherwise the laptop works great on Ventura. I'm back to Monterey so I can use Facetime. Thanks for any help. Slice
For my mind microphone works or no in the system and you have to tune the app to use the microphone. If I'm not right then sorry. Erik Berg
Thanks Slice, but it won't let me select the internal microphone in Facetime. It just won't stay highlighted. It's weird, because it works fine in Photobooth and also in Monterey. Something changed from Monterey to Ventura, at least for my machine.
