sata01
I have 10.4.6 installed on a INTEL pc w. MSI-PM8M-V mb and all is working fine. (except on-board LAN not recognized - added cheap LAN PCI card) When I try to install the 10.4.8ComboUpd.img the installation say that the "drive doesn't meet the requirements" . This is an IDE drive with plenty of space and passess all the verification test in Disk Utility. Can someone help? Rammjet
If you are installing the Apple 10.4.8 Combo Update, you better be doing it following a guide to get you to 10.4.8 with the new kernel or else you will be reinstalling. Never install unpatched Apple OS software unless following a guide that fixes and patches things for you. Now, if you are following a guide and still want to install the 10.4.8 Update, be sure the .pkg file has been dragged out of the disk image .dmg file and is sitting on your Desktop. Then right-click on the installer.pkg and select Show Package Contents. Open the Contents folder and the Resources folder and drag the InstallationCheck file to the Trash. sata01
Thanks for quick reply - I am new to this and thought that once I had 10.4.6 up and running I could just do normal update. I will follow the 10.4.8 link in your sig. Thanks again!
