@AudioGod

my name is William and I’m fairly new to hackintosh.

I came across a post which is linked below which seems to describe the problem which I’m having and suggest that you may be the person to speak to for a possible solution.

issue is described in the article below on the Steinberg website, namely that there seems to be problems with USB 3.1, certain chipsets such as ASmedia and connecting Yamaha USB audio devices to a Mac.

I can work around the problem by using other ports at the back of the Mac but it’s just annoying that I am forced to use the port to the back just because the ones at the front don’t work.  The article below gives the solution of changing the ports to USB 2.0 through the Yamaha Steinberg  USB driver. I have downloaded said driver and installed however I don’t believe the driver is installed incorrectly on my Ryzentosh.  I can see that there is an app added which just tells me little more than the name of the app ie Yamaha Steinberg usb driver.  I can see from the screenshots in this other post that there are setting screens which should be accessible but which are not visible for me.

i’m going to hit send before this post times out and I might come back and edit it and add more information. Also it’s 2:45 am and my brain is seriously shutting down.
