I'm trying to install macOS Ventura on Dell Precision T5810.

Configuration:

CPU Intel Xeon E5-1620 V3
Motherboard Dell Precision T5810
Chipset C612
Memory 16GB (4 x 4 GB) DDR4-2133 ECC
Video Card Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 6600 8 GB
Storage Samsung PM961 512GB with PCI-E to NVME Adapter + SATA HDD 512GB
Audio Realtek ALC280

The only successful cases that I have found are all under Catalina or Big Sur. There are multiple attempts of installing macOS Monterey that I have found, but none of them succeeded. I found someone that has the same computer model in insanelymac, who studied and located the problem to Dell's BIOS bug in TSC syncing. I'll keep trying some quriks on TSC syncing, otherwise I have to change my video card to something compatible with Big Sur.

Can you be more specific where the installation fails in either Monterey or Ventura. Be aware this graphics card is only supported Monterey 12.3 and up.

@exgphe  I have finally found a solution to fix the Monterey booting problem due to TSC out of sync issue. Check  Here. The solution could apply to all systems with similar problem.

Now T5810 can run Monterey and Ventura!

@exgphe  Are you trying to retrofit HP Z440 to a non-HP case? If you succeeded, could you share the pin out information for the proprietary connectors on Z440's motherboard? The essential ones like the front-panel's.

Thanks!

@BillDH2k Unfortunately I did a lot of research and I couldn't find the complete pinout either. I'm currently using the board in the open air.

The best result I found is this. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktops-Archive-Read-Only/Front-panel-connector-pinout/td-p/5540808

According to an experiment on a Chinese website https://www.bilibili.com/read/cv8367964, this pinout diagram is precise for the top half of the connector. For the remaining pins, he tested out that some pins have 5V, which could be related to USB charging. But the exact function of each pin remains a mystery.
