THX Type in -x at bootline... Asus 9550... would be a Radeon 9550, correct? You need to delete all the ATI kexts... but use the search engine because this has been run over a million times. Also, if the problem continues, boot with -v and post up a picture of the panic if you can. Diodak
I had the same problem with no boot after installing OSX. I was trying to solve this problem for a long time. You are saying that you have "Kingston DDR400 512MBx2" so probably memory is working in Dual Channel mode. I had 2x256MB of TwinMOS memory in DualChannel.. today i replaced one of DDR modules with new 512MB. So there is 768MB of RAM - no DualChannel Mode and finaly OSX boots everytime i start the computer Maybe this solution will work for you . Diodak
need disable dual channel???? I think so? For that you will need two different in size RAM modules eg. 256+512MB. macgirl
need disable dual channel???? I don't think so, try this, disconnect you USB mouse, boot in OS X, then connect your USB mouse. Also try to disable USB lecagy support in BIOS.
