marsuss
Hi, I bought this Toshiba KXG60ZNV1T02 some time ago but I don't know what to do to make this ssd work on Monterey. I have NvmeFix.kext in OC folder but unfortunately won't work. Can someone help me please? Thank you for any help. etorix
I never had any issue with Toshiba/Kioxia XG5 and XG6 drives and Mojave/Catalina/Big Sur. What happens if you remove NvmeFix?
marsuss
Is exactly the same. I can't install macOS if I plug ssd in to the laptop slot. Only works when is plugged in to the enclosure but for some reason I can't do an update to newest macOS version no matter if it's eg. 12.6 or 13 its just hangs after 1 stage. I can't even see drive name in OCC. Edited October 7, 2022 by marsuss
etorix
There's no special setting with XG5/XG6 drives. In my experience, they just work "out of the box" (except they don't come in boxes…), with or without NvmeFix.kext. I'm not sure if I ever tried these with Monterey though. It could be that I only tried Monterey on a XD5, which is unbootable with NvmeFix but otherwise works perfectly fine.
