A while back I made a post saying my USB mouse did not work (but they PS/2 keyboard did) during the installation of OS X 10.4.6 (patched by JaS). I was also informed that I should have either a PS/2 mouse and keyboard combination or a USB combination.

I arranged for a USB keyboard (easier to find than a PS/2 mouse) so now I have a USB mouse and keyboard combination. However, now neither device works; I've also tried the old PS/2 keyboard along with the USB mouse with a USB-to-PS/2 converter plug, still the mouse does not work.

I'd greatly appreciate any help.

Are you installing the USB fix?

If yes, don't do it.

Forgive me, but what do you mean by the "USB fix"; do you mean a version of 10.4.6 (JaS) that comes with a USB fix? If so then I don't think so but then I'm not sure. Please continue your help.

ow.... sorry! i forgot that you were installing from the 10.4.6 JaS, the USB fix is an option in the new 10.4.8 JaS dvd.

i'm not sure if it can be a solution but, have you activated the *usb lagancy support* in the bios? i'm not sure if that is the name, but it is something similar. because i remember i while ago, i had to enable that for my keyboard and mouse to work, both k and m are usb.

hope it helps
