I had installed OSX once, and during the first re-boot, it had a kernel panic. So I decided to try the install again, but this time, the dvd starts to transfer files, but after about 3 min. the screen with the mac logo on, changes to a solid blue screen with no disk activity, and no dvd activity, just freezes.

The strange thing is that it went fine the first time, as I was able to select the language and custom options, but every time I try it now it just freezes when loading the files and I don't get to the language option.

I have tried deleting the partition (dual boot with XP), merging it back into one partition, then making two partitions again, but still the same problem.

I haven't changed anything in the bios since the first semi-successful install. :(

This is on a Fujitsu laptop, N6210.

Well I have found out that if I connect an external monitor to the laptop when installing, everything goes OK. It just won't load/boot/install using the laptop's screen.

Funny thing is that the first time I tried to install, the I was able to without the external monitor. Now evey time I try to do an install I need the monitor or it stalls at the blue screen.

Things that make you go hmmm...

Well I found out something interesting.

If I re-flash the bios in XP, and then try to do an install, the installer loads fine without any blue screen problems. This will only happen once. Once I try and boot up after the install, I'm stuck back a a blue screen. Also, if I try a re-install, I also get a blue screen during the install and it stops the install (no h/d activity).

Now If I boot into XP, and re-flash my bios, I can once again install OK without an external monitor.

So this leads me to believe that during the initial install, some part of the bios gets written which then prevents me from booting or re-installing again. Only once the bios is re-flashed can I do a re-install.
