I'm new to OpenCore but not to Hacintosh's, I'm trying to install Monterey on a Lenovo M80q (CometLake chipset with an i5). I have followed the Dortania GitHub guide to dump and patch the DSDT, and prepared the USB as instructed. I also altered all the BIOS settings I could find that lined up with the suggestions. The stick boots to the menu, and on selecting "Install macOS Monterey". It goes through a good few screens of booting then I get a blank screen and loss of signal, I believe it's when the installer would usually bring up the GUI. The board apparently has an Intel® UHD Graphics 630.

There's a video of the end of the boot sequence just before the screen turns off

I tried altering the 'AAPL,ig-platform-id' from '07009B3E' to '00009B3E' as suggested here, this made no difference to the above.

Anyone got any ideas / suggestions?

Thanks in advance! :)

Some Basic Information

-Use USB2 port for easy installation with no remap USB

-Delete old EFI folder and paste new. Don't use merge files

-Don't use Drag and Drop into EFI partition. Use Copy/Paste instead

-Reset NVRAM one time - OpenCore use entry "Reset Nvram" / Clover use F11 key on boot screen

Bios/UEFI Configuration

-Sata = AHCI mode

-Secure Boot = Disable if need

-CSM = Disable with AMD cards

-If you have only IGPU use -igfxvesa bootarg for easy installation

Thank you very much, it has managed to boot in to the installer and install Monterey now.
