okay so I'm asking 'cuz I am a big NWN fan and have a mac but the new NWN 2 is only for windows... My solution was to get the bootcamp. My father said it was still in the bta stages and would slow down the computer is this true? Would the comp. be able to get the <b>Viruses<b> like the full windows? And how much does the windows system cost. :2cents:

yea it is capable of getting viruses just like any old windows but even if u get a virus it wont affect your mac side. my bootcamp runs faster than any windows machine i have ever touched, its fast and faster than my desktop here at home. yea never winter nights should run awesome in bootcamp. i use bootcamp all the time and have had some problems with it but just try it out and see how it works for you. its in the beta stages but it is still good. all you can do is to try and see how it is for you.

It's a good thing for Apple because it allows them to use the "Now you don't have to just walk away from Windows totally" perspective when selling new machines. People can still use the Windows they paid for (most people get it on OEM machines, others actually buy the retail boxed product, etc) and use a Mac too, so it can be the best of both worlds to some folks.

It's not necessarily a good thing for Microsoft however because people will call Microsoft to complain about not getting <insert Windows version here> to work on BootCamp on their Macs. And BootCamp currently is still unsupported so Apple isn't going to help either.

Makes you wonder what the actual reasoning for releasing it is, doesn't it?

"Here, we spent time, effort, money and research for people to figure out how to make it possible for you, a Mac owner, to run Windows, a competing product for PCs in terms of being an operating system, on your Mac. But if it doesn't work, you're screwed, and don't call or bother us with emails, 'cause we don't support this product."

It's stupid to do that knowing full well people are going to need help with it. I should know because I'm one of the people that does help others with it.
