toxic_chicken
i have a gateway cx2610, which has a sata hard drive. i can boot off the dvd and start the setup, but it doesn't detect my hard drive. i installed with vmware, and that worked. but when i set the os x partition to active, it gave me a "hfs+ error" or something. i tried to boot it with easybcd, but that gave me a 'chain booting error', so i'm guessing darwin isn't set up right. Rammjet
It is likely that your SATA is not supported by OSX. VMWare talks to the hardware through Windows, so its drivers were used to setup the image.
