TheND Posted December 5, 2006 Share Posted December 5, 2006 Hey all, Just got a (old) new gfx card from my Dad's old PC. I know from browsing that ATI is generally supported in osx86 (using 10.4.6 currently), but not sure if this card will work. It is 32MB I believe, PCI, and includes a TV tuner. If it is supported, do I just install it and boot normally? Or do I have to fiddle with kexts? I currently have an i845 gpu, which works fine, but doesn't support accelerated gfx, or any resolutions above 1028x768. If ne1's tried this card, or know of any problems before I screw up my eMac x86, please let me know. RobertX Posted December 5, 2006 Share Posted December 5, 2006 I have the ATI Rage 128 PRO Ultra GL 32mb...also same chip...i845..P4 i ave got some gfx/acceleration altering the atirage128.kext and it's ga companion...entering my ids...but nothing terrific...yet...openglextensionsviewer shows my ati rage 128 working in tests....but not fully supported....and i have TV/OUT on the card...but no intel kext to drive it....hope this helps some...
