Kamui9610
Hi 😃 I'm playing around with Mac OS Monterey 12.1 in my PC with the following specs: Lenovo Legion y540 Core i5-9300H and iGPU 630 UHD; GPU RTX 2060; WiFi intel 9560; I'm facing an issue after following the guide from dortania. I have successfully installed MacOS but I want to multi-boot it with Pop_OS (Linux) and windows 10 using rEFInd. How can I boot directly into MacOS bypassing the OpenCore bootloader? Is there a way to let rEFInd boot into Mac using all the kexts needed? Moreover I need Macos to develop for iOS. Do I really need the right WiFi card to download apps from Apple store or can I just use a dongle usb? Slice
RTX2060 will not work in macOS. rEFInd is for real Mac not for hackintosh. Guest 5T33Z0
@Kamui9610 You could try this: https://github.com/jief666/BootloaderChooser Or this: https://github.com/5T33Z0/OC-Little-Translated/tree/main/G_Linux As far as access to the app store is concerned, you could use USB Tethering. If you use an Android phone you need Horndis to enable it. Hi, many thanks to both of you for your help. So, in the end, I cannot have just refind working alone as the main bootloader for MacOS. I'll try following the guides proposed from 5T33Z0 and see what happens. I'll try when I'll have some more time. Guest 5T33Z0
Still, you need to disable the RTX GPU and use the iGPU instead. Avery B
The opencore loader is always needed as it has the logic necessary to load apfs driver needed to find macOS, as well as inject the required acpi patches and macOS drivers. You could chainload opencore from rEFInd I guess, but opencore is able to boot windows and Linux as well. Shouldn’t need to use something like boot loader chooser imo. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/350223-how-to-add-macos-in-refind-after-installing-it-with-opencore/#findComment-2774539 Share on other sites
