Klownicle
I was wondering how to remove the verbose mode bootup once youve completed your installation. And also, im using the chain0 method to boot apple osx, when I select apple from the windows boot, it goes to the apple boot darwin. And it has automatically selected windows. Is there a way I can have it auto select osx? And is there a way to have the gui boot instead of verbose? Im not using the -v on startup options. Im not using anything on startup options. Im using AMD 10.4.8 DVD TEST1 PPF1 Thanks, Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/35017-gui-boot-up-etc/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
To stop verbose mode, go to the boot.plist file and remove the -v from under the Kernel Flags parameter. Darwin sets the active partition to default. Since Windows is the active partition in order to start with its bootloader, Darwin will default to Windows. If you abandon the Windows bootloader (remove chain0 from boot.ini) and set the OSX partition active, then the Darwin bootloader can be used as a primary loader. OSX will be default and you can optionally select Windows when you want.
