OSX on Acer Travelmate C301XMi (TabletPC)

Hi folks,

 

since I started using a mac mini as carpc, I became kind of enthousiastic about Mac OS X. So I tried to use Mac OS also on my Tablet PC (Acer).

Installation of JaS 10.4.7 went fine, the update to 10.4.8 was also no problem at all. The notebook refused to reboot once, but this problem never occured again.

So far, thanks to all who are working on this wonderful project.

 

And here comes my trouble:

- WLAN (Intel Pro Wireless 220BG) is not working (not even recognized)

- LAN (Intel) is also not working

- using the tablet-function with the pen is also not possible (sure, I didn't expect that to work out of the box)

- the internal keyboard and the touchpad are useless. External ones (Microsoft Dekstop elite) via USB works fine.

 

The most important thing for me is to enable the network components, preferably with WLAN. Using my Mac mouse and keyboard (both bluetooth), working on the Acer is just great. But without the network, it's useless.

 

Maybe this is a good point to let you know that I have no idea of what I am doing here. I am an absolute beginner on this topic!
