I've been using OC 0.6.8 from the below thread. Now I tried to update to 0.7.4 using the provided EFI, did all those changes that need to be done to the plist, and I can't boot into Catalina.

I thought the issue might be about:

Misc - Security - SecureBootModel, which is set on the plist as Default (for big Sur). So I changed it after trying with the original setting first, to Disabled for Catalina which is what I have. The problem wasn't there.

Pickerattributes is set to 17 as it should be.

All I see at startup is "toggle SIP" and "Reset NVRAM". So for some reason it can't find the EFI. I did NVRAM reset and chose Opencore from the Bios options again, doesn't help.

Hopefully someone can help me. I've been banging my head to the wall for two days now. 😅 Thanks in advance!

WELL, I did a little bit more searching and found my answer.

When running any macOS older than Big Sur with OC 0.7.4:

UEFI > APFS > MinDate: set it to -1 (minus 1)

UEFI > APFS > MinVersion: set it to -1 (minus 1)
