retroz
I went to try iDefrag and got the error, Unable to Open volume HFS errors: hfs_journal.c:93 (from 0x12b90) (12) The journal header seems incorrect, Anyway, using utilities, I see no errors with disk utility, but one has to wonder why iDEFRAG does not work on hknTOSH and this leads me to believe for example, that I notice that samples/instruments sometimes load slower in "Garage Band" than vs a MacBook. In Final cut, they load faster, but there is indeed a difference in speed between Garage Band and my hkntosh 7200 RPM drive SATA2 vs a slower macbook. The MB loads them faster, so, in theory, if I could solve this journaling error, I suppose it would solve this problem!!? Thoughts? Rammjet
Hackintoshes generally have UDMA problems and that is why the disk benchmarks are always so low (where so low = slow). retroz
Hackintoshes generally have UDMA problems and that is why the disk benchmarks are always so low (where so low = slow). Hmmm, interesting, I wonder why no one tried to solve this riddle... For example, a Garage band loop takes sometimes 1-3 seconds to load, depending on size (content) whereas a Macbook using a slower HD loads it much faster. Strange! Feels like these days !!!
