Brick88 Posted December 4, 2006 Share Posted December 4, 2006 hey guys question. im a noob so pardon my lack of anything mac. i have an old dell laptop. an inspiron8200 to be specific. i don't use it to play games and since my college uses a lot of mac workstations ive grown to love it. i wanna know if i can put mac os x on my laptop. i found out my pentium is sse2 but i don't know if the rest is compatible. the video card is a geforce 2 go 32mb. ram is ddr. do you guys know if these are compatible and how would i go about installing os x. Rammjet Posted December 4, 2006 Share Posted December 4, 2006 If it is SSE2 capable, then you can install 10.4.6 or 10.4.7 and then upgrade to the 10.4.8 which uses the old kernel (new kernel is currently SSE3).
