jimiz Posted April 18, 2021 Share Posted April 18, 2021 (edited) HI with this MB (asrock x79 extreme 4) I have about 2 years a perfect Mojave running, all work fine. but Mojave is just out for many softwares and update , like os more new (min.catalina...) SO I decide to try with Bigsur , I have no experience of the new Opencore system, for mw the " old" clover was better...I read enough guide ebaout OC and you need much experinece to understand something I can't add a KEXT , because I can't assign to config.plist....all much hard with OC. SO I take a X79 efi OC ready and with this my pc install and run BIGSUR... work good (stable) BUT with big limits: NO LAN (no recognised my old kext...working perfect in mojave) NO AUDIO (idem) 2 of the 4 SATA2 ports, have problems... recognised but work bad, like initialize HDD, also are perfect. Power management not work , I try with Intel Power Gadget and all is 0 .... I need help woth another EFI working with X79 chipset and those chips: I put here my EFI. my chipsetsLAN > BCM57781Audio> ALC898SATA2 > Intel X79SATA3> ASM1061 e ASM 1042 THANKS!
