amega Posted February 15, 2021 Share Posted February 15, 2021 Hello I have Big Sur installed with the kextS of High Sierra 11.13.6 and I have lags when executing applications. But worst of all is the constant reboots. Can someone tell me how to fix this problem? panic(cpu 2 caller 0xffffff802cbee1e6): Kernel trap at 0xffffff802d177e48, type 14=page fault, registers: CR0: 0x0000000080010033, CR2: 0x000000000011006d, CR3: 0x000000017fc97144, CR4: 0x00000000000626e0 RAX: 0x0000000000110065, RBX: 0xffffff93814b9e00, RCX: 0x0000000000000000, RDX: 0xffffff86d248c000 RSP: 0xffffffa0770139d0, RBP: 0xffffffa0770139e0, RSI: 0x0000000000000052, RDI: 0xffffff93814b9e00 R8: 0x0000000000000009, R9: 0xffffff9381f6edc4, R10: 0xffffff802da3f848, R11: 0x3f0011ff2093a756 R12: 0xffffff937d406000, R13: 0x00000000e00002c2, R14: 0xffffff9381f6edc4, R15: 0x0000000000000000 RFL: 0x0000000000010286, RIP: 0xffffff802d177e48, CS: 0x0000000000000008, SS: 0x0000000000000010 Fault CR2: 0x000000000011006d, Error code: 0x0000000000000000, Fault CPU: 0x2, PL: 0, VF: 1 Backtrace (CPU 2), Frame : Return Address 0xffffffa0770133f0 : 0xffffff802cabab4d 0xffffffa077013440 : 0xffffff802cbfd7e3 0xffffffa077013480 : 0xffffff802cbede1a 0xffffffa0770134d0 : 0xffffff802ca5fa2f 0xffffffa0770134f0 : 0xffffff802caba3ed 0xffffffa077013610 : 0xffffff802caba6d8 0xffffffa077013680 : 0xffffff802d2bef9a 0xffffffa0770136f0 : 0xffffff802cbee1e6 0xffffffa077013870 : 0xffffff802cbedecd 0xffffffa0770138c0 : 0xffffff802ca5fa2f 0xffffffa0770138e0 : 0xffffff802d177e48 0xffffffa0770139e0 : 0xffffff7fcc33a4ea 0xffffffa077013a40 : 0xffffff7fcc330df4 0xffffffa077013a80 : 0xffffff802d248170 0xffffffa077013ad0 : 0xffffff802d2463e7 0xffffffa077013b20 : 0xffffff802d25045b 0xffffffa077013c80 : 0xffffff802cba8e51 0xffffffa077013d90 : 0xffffff802cac0147 0xffffffa077013e00 : 0xffffff802ca96905 0xffffffa077013e60 : 0xffffff802caae062 0xffffffa077013ef0 : 0xffffff802cbd1fc3 0xffffffa077013fa0 : 0xffffff802ca60216 Kernel Extensions in backtrace: com.apple.driver.AppleIntelHD3000Graphics(10.0.4)[3A47B78B-AF9B-30A4-A5AD-C0B4318C9665]@0xffffff7fcc320000->0xffffff7fcc36ffff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(585)[EF8876FC-C6D6-3D53-9915-762EF4F12870]@0xffffff7fcd304000->0xffffff7fcd332fff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000]@0xffffff802f412000->0xffffff802f439fff Process name corresponding to current thread: VTDecoderXPCService Boot args: -no_compat_check npci=0x2000 darkwake=1 igfxgl=1 -v Mac OS version: 20D64 Kernel version: Darwin Kernel Version 20.3.0: Thu Jan 21 00:07:06 PST 2021; root:xnu-7195.81.3~1/RELEASE_X86_64 Kernel UUID: C86236B2-4976-3542-80CA-74A6B8B4BA03 KernelCache slide: 0x000000002c800000 KernelCache base: 0xffffff802ca00000 Kernel slide: 0x000000002c810000 Kernel text base: 0xffffff802ca10000 __HIB text base: 0xffffff802c900000 System model name: MacBookPro11,3 (Mac-2BD1B31983FE1663) System shutdown begun: NO Panic diags file available: YES (0x0) Hibernation exit count: 0 System uptime in nanoseconds: 1687901099826 Last Sleep: absolute base_tsc base_nano Uptime : 0x00000188febee95c Sleep : 0x0000000000000000 0x0000000000000000 0x0000000000000000 Wake : 0x0000000000000000 0x0000000872db1958 0x0000000000000000 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/346690-error-intel-hd-graphics-3000-in-big-sur/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
Slice Posted February 15, 2021 Share Posted February 15, 2021 The best way is return to High Sierra. Another way is more expansive. It is to buy more recent computer if you actually needed in BigSur. It is to buy more recent computer if you actually needed in BigSur. Sincewhat happens is that since High Sierra up Catalina I have artifacts and graphic glitches (weird horizontal flickering lines, garbled icons, etc.). Also Lilu fails: 2021-02-15 14:10:31.015011-0500 localhost kernel[0]: calling mpo_policy_init for Lilu 2021-02-15 14:10:31.016619-0500 localhost kernel[0]: Security policy loaded: Lilu Kernel Extension 1.5.1 (Lilu) 2021-02-15 14:10:31.730300-0500 localhost kernel[0]: (Lilu) Lilu rtc: @ rtc read failure 1 bytes from 180 E00002C2 In Big Sur I only have this error: com.apple.driver.AppleIntelHD3000Graphics(10.0.4)[3A47B78B-AF9B-30A4-A5AD-C0B4318C9665]@0xffffff7fcc320000->0xffffff7fcc36ffff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(585)[EF8876FC-C6D6-3D53-9915-762EF4F12870]@0xffffff7fcd304000->0xffffff7fcd332fff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000]@0xffffff802f412000->0xffffff802f439fff How there are developers in the forum I shared the error with the hope of some explanation that helps me understand how to patch some of these kextS with the aim of a better functioning. These errors show a hexadecimal value corresponding to each Kext. com.apple.driver.AppleIntelHD3000Graphics(10.0.4) valor hexadecimal 3A47B78BAF9B30A4A5ADC0B4318C9665 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(585)valor hexadecimal EF8876FCC6D63D539915762EF4F12870 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)valor hexadecimal 00000000000000000000000000000000 Change the value of (com.apple.driver.AppleIntelHD3000Graphics) to zero it did not return the error but the Graphic Acceleration was affected, the Kernel did not load the kext AppleIntelHD3000Graphics I would like to buy a laptop compatible with Big Sur but I am not in a position, things are very difficult for me. Thank very much 13 hours ago, Hervé said: Even in Catalina, you needed to do a lot more than just install the SNB graphics kexts to obtain OpenGL-only graphics acceleration for HD3000 iGPU. I expect you must have tried to tune things a little given that your screenshot shows a 2448MB VRAM and that's quite unseen on HD3000. Anyway I don't expect you'll be successful at all without significant patching, as it appears to be the case. I suggest you go to MacRumors forum to read about it and learn about whatever patching tool was made available for older unsupported Mac models. From memory, no dosdude1's patch this time. You use the -no_compat_check boot arg despite the MBP11,3 SMBIOS so one has to wonder why you use such boot arg because MacBookPro11,x are fully supported in Big Sur. If in Catalina there is more kext to install but in Big Sur only these are compatible: AppleGraphicsControl.kext AppleIntelHD3000Graphics.kext AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsGA.plugin AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsGLDriver.bundle AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsVADriver.bundle AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext AppleIntelSNBVA.bundle AppleMCCSControl.kext This is the patch I installed:https://github.com/barrykn/big-sur-micropatcher There are no reports of my failure in Mac It seems to only happen on Hackintosh How there are developers in the forum I shared the error with the hope of some explanation that helps me understand how to patch some of these kextS with the aim of a better functioning. I'm going to stop by the MacRumors forum to see if I'm lucky.
