Hi there,

I have trying to have a clean installation for Big Sur for this old desktop... 

 

so I cleaned up the whole 100G Intel SSD and created the Open Core 0.6.4 with Grib MAC OS.

 

but after the picker, it just shut down. see attached log.

 

Any insight or idea what went wrong?

You got things wrong... Your posted log shows your computer is fitted with an Ivy Bridge i5-3450 which integrates HD2500 iGPU (not HD3000 which is a Sandy Bridge iGPU). Unfortunately, like all GT1 tiers, HD2500 is not supported. At all (except in headless mode for video encoding/decoding if necessary).

If you want to properly install and run Big Sur (or any version of OS X/macOS to that effect) with graphics acceleration, you'll have to replace your CPU by a model with HD4000 iGPU or add a supported PCIe x16 graphics card. Start here:
