ASUS laptop k556uq big sur

hello,

 

first try of hackintosh on my asus K556UQ laptop. when I boot to my usb instllation it says there is no internet connection.

efi attached.

 

spec:

CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 series
GPU: On-board graphics adapter modelIntel HD Graphics 520 / Discrete graphics adapter modelNVIDIA GeForce 940MX
RAM: DDR4-SDRAM 4GB
Audio: Realtek ALC255 @ Intel Sunrise Point-LP PCH - High Definition Audio Controller [C1]    PCI
Wireless: Atheros AR9565 802.11b/g/n Wireless Network Adapter    PCI
Ethernet: Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (PHY: Realtek RTL8111)    PCI

You should make your macOS USB installer from a downloaded full installation app rather than a recovery package.

And why do you post about a failed Catalina installation in the Big Sur section?

I followed link for download of big sur 100% from attached tutorial link for opencore. not sure why it displays catalina recovery

Seems you missed the essential note at the bottom of that list of recovery download links...

# Note, Apple has temporarily removed Big Sur from the Recovery Catalog
# Expect Apple to resolve this sometime after the holidays

 

You're obviously using a Catalina recover package so just download Big Sur app from the AppStore or from the usual link(s). Those are readily available.
