Hi guys,

I installed Catalina 10.15.7 (19H2) under VMware 16 but upon removing the installation USB and rebooting I am greeted with a kernel panic:

My setup:

  • OpenCore 0.6.3
  • AMD 3700x CPU
  • VMWare 16

I followed the official OpenCore install guide to but the boot process always hangs on [EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START]

I followed the troubleshooting steps at https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/troubleshooting/extended/kernel-issues.html#stuck-on-eb-log-exitbs-start but none of them helped. Here is my configuration:

  • config.plist
  • ACPI

    • SSDT-EC.aml

    • SSDT-USBX.aml

  • Drivers

    • HfsPlus.efi

    • OpenRuntime.efi

  • Kexts

    • AppleALC.kext

    • AppleMCEReporterDisabler.kext
    • Lilu.kext
    • NVMeFix.kext
    • SmallTreeIntel82576.kext
    • VirtualSMC.kext
    • WhateverGreen.kext

Do you guys see anything wrong? What should I try next? Thanks in advance.
