Dodson Shark
Hi all, I got MAC few days ago, but i can not use all networks utilities in my office - our "cool" admins use ISA server as proxy and "Microsoft Firewall client for ISA server" on eash PC. What i only have is just http proxy (with domain autorization) but not POP3/IMAP/SMTP, not ICQ - this IP ports is closed in proxy (company security rules), but it worked on usual windows PC thrue "Microsoft Firewall client for ISA server" Is anybody have experiance in this topic and can help me to configure MAC? Is any "Microsoft Firewall client for MAC" out there? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34565-isa-server-%D0%B8-os-x/ Share on other sites
willc0de4food
hey, i was searching google about this trying to help someone on a different forum when i ran across your post. i noticed there were no replys, but did find this elsewhere.. http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?sto...060618215149203  it may or may not work, but i figured it was worth a shot. hope it helps :] another possibility.. Squid's the answerYou'll need to install a copy of the Squid proxy cache, and configure it use the ISA server as a parent server. If you install authoxy, you'll be able to authenticate via NTLM from the Xserve, making it completely transparent. You can get authoxy (it's free and open-source) here: http://www.hrsoftworks.net/Products.html Have fun! - original post another possibility? btw, this is my first post. heh. peace Edited December 20, 2006 by willc0de4food Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34565-isa-server-%D0%B8-os-x/#findComment-258584 Share on other sites
asap18
just use the firewall built in to mac os x. In System Preferences-Sharing. Its probably better than any firewall microsoft could make and osx does not need a firewall as much as windows does. Rammjet
The ISA server has to be reconfigured to allow the Mac to work with it: http://tinyurl.com/y3dovs http://tinyurl.com/y5ddem Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34565-isa-server-%D0%B8-os-x/#findComment-258695 Share on other sites
