dustojnikhummer
Lenovo Thinkpad X230 Unlocked advanced BIOS (WIFI Whitelist removed) Catalina 10.15.7 i5 3320m Azurewave CE-123H / BCM4352 / BCM94352HMB (Aliexpress link to what I bought) I'm trying to get my Azurwave card working, but can't do it. Bluetooth does work, but the AirportBrcmFixup doesn't seem to do anything. Card properly detected in Hackintool. I even tried using the IO80211 kext from Mojave, which did nothing, though a user on OSXLatitude forums said his card worked again after Catalina 10.15.5 Edited September 25, 2020 by dustojnikhummer Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/345260-bcm4352-wifi-not-working-thinkpad-x230/ Share on other sites
dustojnikhummer
Is there a list that says what models is this card compatible with? Or where can I get that patch you mentioned? Because a different SMBIOS is most likely not an option since the Ivy Bridge platform is compatible only with a MacBookPro10,2 and MacBookAir5,2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/345260-bcm4352-wifi-not-working-thinkpad-x230/#findComment-2738397 Share on other sites
dustojnikhummer
Alright, sitrep. By doing a OC Clean Snapshot, wifi shows up... but it refuses to take any passwords, even a direct share from my iPad and constantly jumps between "On" and "Looking for networks" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/345260-bcm4352-wifi-not-working-thinkpad-x230/#findComment-2738398 Share on other sites
dustojnikhummer
Okay, I switched SMBios to MacBookAir5,2. What else do I need to do? WiFi still won't connect even to a network with no password. MAC Address is FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:11 and there seems to be no way to change that Edited September 25, 2020 by dustojnikhummer Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/345260-bcm4352-wifi-not-working-thinkpad-x230/#findComment-2738409 Share on other sites
dustojnikhummer
Damn. The reason why I use this card is that I bought it well over a year ago for a project that never happened, and because most forums said it is easy to get going. I will take look at that thread, thanks for now. Or should I just downgrade to Mojave? dustojnikhummer
So I tried that IO80211Family kext in /L/E and absolutely nothing... I'm completely lost. dustojnikhummer
Hey, thanks for your help, but I'm declaring this WiFi card as dead. Even under Windows, it sees networks but refuses to connect (doesn't even ask for a password). I guess I will have to buy a new one, but apparently BCM94352 is supported even under BigSur, so I'm thinking about buying that one. Or what card under 25USD (tax purposes) would you recommend? And in the meantime, lets hope itlwm is stable Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/345260-bcm4352-wifi-not-working-thinkpad-x230/#findComment-2738502 Share on other sites
