mouzy93 Posted November 29, 2006 Share Posted November 29, 2006 Hi everyone, To the point - Iv installed mac on a partition on my main HD. Installed fine. Now have tried to install acronis - it freezes when the OS loader says Acronis OS Loader Press F6 for... Press enter for... These buttons dont seem to function - the only way i claw my way back to the windows bootloader is by running SPFDISK from a DOS livecd. chain0 - i have done all it says - but no luck - in the XP boot loader when i select Mac, all it does is have a flashing underscore in the top left corner of an otherwise blank page. PLEASE HELP ME! ANY ALTERNATIVES FROM ACRONIS & CHAIN0! ps : I have read somewhhere that chain0 only works on some HD's on IDE 1, slave mode. Mine isnt. cbmkgd Posted November 29, 2006 Share Posted November 29, 2006 You said osx install went fine. When rebooting, did you get the darwin boot list, showing windows and osx options? Go back in windows, remove acronis os selector, make your osx partition as active and reboot. If you reboot directly in osx without a timeout, press F8 when you boot on osx to get the options. If that works, check how to have automatic timeout in the wiki. good luck.
