fuzzylogic Posted August 25, 2020 Share Posted August 25, 2020 Nuvoton NCT6791D I am trying to understand the role of virtualsmc and its plugins, when a motherboard uses the Nuvoton chip and how to compile to best suit my motherboard Asrock Phantom Gaming 9 which I think uses the Nuvoton chip what is the role of the SMCSuperIO.kext? NCT6791D SuperIO is used for IO, and a nuvoton NCT5567D is used to expand fan control. so what is the role of the virtual smc kext why do some versions have plugins? and lastly if I may what should I be using given my nuvoton chip thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
