For the past week or so I've been trying to boot my perfectly working hackintosh desktop running Catalina using the latest version of Opencore. As I have no idea how it's supposed to work (I checked the install guide but understood almost nothing), I ended up googling my mobo with the name of opencore. The first result was a reddit post from an user who owns the same mobo + CPU combo. I downloaded his EFI folder and replaced my existing Clover EFI with it but it doesn't boot. I can select the OS but it had the vault error. I rebooted into Catalina using my USB installer which still uses Clover and realized it's not the latest version of OC. I did the necessary changes using the config sanity checker but it won't go much further. I didn't change any of my BIOS settings compared to when I was using Clover. Can anyone help me understand opencore so I can know what I'm doing wrong?
