YWQBX
I'm trying to install hackintosh using opencore 0.5.9 on my hp specture x360. It got i7-1065g7 16GB RAM 1TB SSD. And I can boot into the system, but with a really lag way. Here is some problem I ran into: 1.Graphic is really lag, I have patch the AAPL,ig-platform-id and device-id 2.My model identifier show my real computer model 3.Installer can't install and show: Your Mac needs a firmware update in order to install to this volume. Please select a Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume instead. 4.I move my EFI folder into my internal drive then the system won't boot. It will stuck at [EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START] I don't know how to fix this 4 issues. Can someone please help. Thanks! config.plist Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/344395-help-weird-issue-with-opencore/ Share on other sites
spyroskor
I have the exact same problem (Your Mac need a firmware update...) when trying to install Catalina 10.15.6 using OpenCore 0.6.1, onto a Sony Vaio SVS13A1S9ES. It makes no sense because I have successfully (with Clover) installed El Capitan on it which was later upgraded to Sierra and finally to Mojave 10.14.6 and they all worked fine. I even have WiFi and Bluetooth with WiFi card replacement (Broadcom BCM94352 HMB -AW CE-123H- minicar). I didn't want to upgrade on the working disk (120GB SSD) before I make sure that the system works with Catalina and tried to install on an external SSD connected to USB port and properly formatted (APFS). But even though the bootloader (OC 0.6.1) boots fine and the installer loads up to the point to select the insta;;nation disk then I get the above message and all disks are graded out. If anybody has an idea about a solution, we'd really appreciate it.
