Wild Eep
I did a fresh install of Catalina using Opencore 0.5.8 Debug via the https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Desktop-Guide/ (following instructions for Ivy Bridge) on a Gigabyte GA-B75TN mini-itx mobo with an i7-3770s CPU with HD 4000 integrated graphics. The MacOS seems to have installed just fine and is seemingly functional for the most part (Sleep/Continuity/Handoff all work) except for screen resolution. I cannot change the resolution from 1920x1080. I have an LG ultrawide monitor with a max resolution of 2560x1080, so 1920x1080 looks distorted on my screen. The OpenCore Desktop Guide referenced the Whatevergreen Framebuffer Patching Guide https://github.com/acidanthera/WhateverGreen/blob/master/Manual/FAQ.IntelHD.en.md, which I used to find the entry I needed for my config.plist. I tried all of the ig-platform-id entries for HD 4000 listed in the Framebuffer guide, but the only one that made a readable screen was 0x01620005 (05006201). All others either made the screen scrambled or hangs during the boot process. Does anyone have any idea how to help? Here are a screenshot of the relevant graphics info from About this Mac/System Report and a screenshot of my EFI files: Edited May 24, 2020 by Wild Eep Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/343952-unable-to-change-display-resolution-intel-hd-4000-graphics/ Share on other sites
